Sangal and K23 have one final chance at qualifying for IEM Rio.

Illuminar and Monte are the latest pair of teams to be knocked out from the Europe Regional Major Ranking tournament. The all-Polish lineup picked up their third loss after being dominated by Sangal, while Volodymyr "⁠Woro2k⁠" Veletniuk's crew fell just short to K23 after two close maps.

The two winning teams, Sangal and K23, join Outsiders, MOUZ, and BIG in the event's 2-2 pool where six teams in total will compete for the last three spots at the Major in Brazil. The winner of the HEET-Falcons French derby will be the final team in the 2-2 pool.

Sangal completely left Illuminar in the dust on Dust2

Sangal was a force to be reckoned with from start to finish, as the European mix bagged a comfortable 16-10 win on their map pick. Their momentum carried over to their opponents' choice of Dust2, where Robin "⁠ScrunK⁠" Röpke and company delivered a flawless T side to seal the map 16-6 and series 2-0.

Monte were the early aggressors on Mirage as the attackers and held a 9-6 lead at halftime. K23 answered back with a nine-round half of their own after swapping sides as the first map went into overtime. Six additional rounds were all it took for the Europeans to clinch the map 19-17 and the 1-0 series lead. Vladislav "⁠FinigaN⁠" Usov's squad had the upper hand first on Ancient and ultimately held onto that advantage to knock Monte out of the RMR after two maps.
